What is the new ASC Public Reporting Program?

Leapfrog will score and publicly report safety and quality data available through CMS for thousands of ASCs, and for those ASCs voluntarily participating with Leapfrog, ratings from a shorter ASC Survey and from accreditation status will also be publicly reported. We will vastly expand the number of ASCs Leapfrog publicly rates on patient safety and quality, reduce the time it takes ASCs to be rated by Leapfrog and give consumers and purchasers more information when deciding where to seek surgery.

The new program has three key components:

1. Make CMS ASCQR Data More Accessible to Consumers and Purchasers - Score and Publicly Report 13 Measures from the CMS ASCQR Program on Leapfrog’s Public Reporting Website for All ASCs Regardless of Participation in the Leapfrog ASC Survey 2.0

2. Highlight National Accreditation Standards and Replace Some Reporting Requirements - Score and Publicly Report 5 Measures Aligned with AAAHC and JC Accreditation Standards on Leapfrog’s Public Reporting Website for All ASCs that Submit Accreditation Certificate Regardless of Participation in the Leapfrog ASC Survey 2.0

3. Maintain Measures of Utmost Importance to Consumers and Purchasers – Score and Publicly Report 8 Additional Measures for ASCs that Voluntarily Submit the Leapfrog ASC Survey 2.0
